Born in Time

The other day, a reader asked me the best question I’ve been asked yet about my books. She’d read a particuarly lovey-dovey scene between Luce and Daniel and she wanted to know whether I really believed that love like that existed in the real world. Of course! I told her. I just found it myself.

Today is my husband Jason’s birthday. Because we’re going home to our families in Texas and Arkansas this weekend, he will get not one, but four birthday parties. Today we’re celebrating with a few of his favorite things: The Beatles (we watched disc 5 and 6 of the box set last night), Starman (we’ll squeeze in a viewing of that classic sometime today), and cheese dip–he is from Arkansas (we’re going to a Mexican joint tonight with a 30 person mariachi band!). HAPPY BIRTHDAY JASON!

This was our first song at our wedding. Also works for birthdays: Bob Dylan: Born in Time

In other news……the film rights to Fallen have been optioned by Disney! This all happened yesterday, it’s still a developing story, but we are all very very excited! I usually get up pretty early in the morning, but this week, I happen to have ordered a fantastic new bed, which arrived on Wednesday night, which forced me to stay under the covers yesterday morning until the nearly obscene hour of eleven. When I finally crawled out of my cloud/mattress, I was greeted with about 30 emails from friends who’d already heard the good news: “Why didn’t you tell me there was going to be a movie???”

I had a lot of catching up to do! Stay tuned for more details!

Read Fallen in one sitting! It was splendid! I just couldn’t put it down- picked it up at the airport for my trip home to Alabama from Seattle on a whim. So happy I did! Congrats on the deal with Disney too!

Wow congratulations! But I’m going to pray that Disney don’t make it all cheery and High School Musical-y. That would be the most annoying thing EVER.

    And happy birthday Jason :D

My friend got me your book for my sixteenth birthday and I read it in two days :D I absolutely loved it so much and will definitely be going straight to the shops when the sequel comes out! :) do you have an exact date yet?

Lol sorry to bother you :)

Omg its going to be a movie! I cant wait!! When I first saw your book I thought it had a wicked cover, also I was on a website when your book popped up on my screen for no reason but I was intrigued by it so much by just reading what it was about that I read the first title right then and there! Also another funny thing is I was writing a story about Angels……

    Some called it a coincidence……

    I call it destiny!

I am from Arkansas and currently live in Texas! LOL! I am so glad to hear about the movie right being aquired. That is wonderful. This book blew me away. The cover caught my attention, then the inside jacket had me curious, then I had read it in one day! I couldn’t put it down. Thank you for a lovely book.
