From Taylor Swift to Ron Pope, you each have different visions of what constitutes the perfect Fallen playlist. I’d love to hear from more of you!

I have a few songs that I would love to see in The Fallen Movie everyone of these songs fits Daniel and Luce an exact T at least in my mind. Every time I hear them the flashback of the lines from the Fallen Series come clashing in my head and I can picture the songs to represent the characters as their theme and or just a background song. I surely enjoy them and agree 100% with them and so do a few other die-hard Fallen fans I hope you enjoy them too! I’ve actually put this playlist on my iPod 🙂
1. A Thousand Years by Christina Perri
– Now, although the artist said she wrote this song for Bella and Edward from The Twilight Series if you listen to the lyrics to the song it fits Daniel and Luce perfectly. Daniel has died everyday waiting for Luce when she’s died every 17 years. Luce realizes her love for Daniel and that she has loved him for thousands of years. Daniel would be the one expressing his love for Luce and assuring her not to worry because this isn’t there first time falling in love. Even when Luce was gone Daniel’s soul ached for Luce, he loved and longed for his love to return to him.
Lyric: “Darling don’t be afraid I have loved you for a thousand years I’ll love you for a thousand more.
”
2. Angel With A Shotgun by The Cab
– I chose this song because it really shows Daniels side of his love for Luce and just how far he would go for the love of Luce. Every time I hear this song I just picture Daniel it’s so beautiful. Because he’s given up everything for Luce, he fell from Heaven for love, he sacrificed it all just to be with her until this whole mess is over with he did it all just for her. Just for Luce
Lyric: “I don’t care if heaven wont take me back I’ll throw away my faith babe just to keep you safe. Don’t you know you’re everything I have?”
3. Past Lives by Ke$ha
-I know when people see Kesha’s name they will think absolutely not, but if you really listen to it you will fall in love with this song over and over again. Just like Luce and Daniel did time after time they always found each other no matter what. She talks in her song about different locations where they fell in love and she goes back to the pyramids and the crusades and all I could think of is many parts in Passion. I loved it so much every time I hear it I almost cry. Except we’d have to change the green eyes to violet 🙂

4. Fall to Pieces by Avril Lavigne
– I absolutely adore this song by Avril Lavigne it shows Luce’s side of love for Daniel. How many time’s she mentions just staring at Daniel and his glorious wings how breathtaken she was by there beauty by his beauty. Its also great because she wants to know everything about her history and their history together.
Lyric: “I pray we make it through the fall make it through it all… […] I wanna know who you are, wanna know where to start, I wanna know what this means… (…) I wanna know everything”
5. My Immortal by Evanesence
– This song hits me like a ton of brings when I listen to it and compare it to Fallen. Every time I hear Amy Lee’s haunting voice especially in this song I think of Daniel. The way he felt every time Luce died, every time Luce left his side for such a long time. This song gives me chill’s it’s like I can feel Daniel’s pain his longing the memories of all the times he’s held her in his arms, the times he’s wiped her tears and he only gets to do that for a shirt while before shes gone. This is the perfect song for him. Plus the title of the album just happens to be Fallen 🙂
Lyric: “These wounds won’t seem to heal this pain is just too real there’s just too much that time cannot erase. When you cried I’d wipe away all of your tears when you’d scream I’d fight away all of your fears and I held your hand through all of these years”
6. Lucy by Skillet
– This song reminds me of Daniel from the first time he chose love and Luce over Heaven how he’s realizing he has to live with that choice for the rest of his life because he’s reminded of the choice by Luce dying every 17 years. His decision haunts him day by day, but when he finally get’s to see her it makes that moment when he chose her worth it.
Lyric: “I’d give up all the world to see that little piece of heaven looking back at me… […] I’ll see you in another life.”
I hope you all enjoy this playlist as much as I did, I listen to it on a daily basis cause I can’t keep my Fallen addiction under control I wish there was another book but a movie will suffice. From on fan to another hold those angel wings high and take one step at a time into a new day, were one step closer to seeing our dreams come true! 🙂

All by her, and all have really something incredibly coincidential with the books, like she wrotte all the songs after reading the books!

I love the Evanescence songs, but they are quite depressing, maybe for one of the sadder bits of the book? Definitely A Thousand Years by Christina Perri.
Evanescence: fields of innocence, before the dawn, even in death, breathe no more (really their demo album ORIGIN should be listened to and considered especially the intro, it just reminds me Of the announcers!
When reading these books all I could think about was how well Evanescence songs and music went with the imagery, story and the characters it has a dark gothic undertone just like their music! I think Amy Lee would do something amazing if given the chance. If the book had been out maybe ten years ago she would have played the perfect Luce. Im just gonna suggest EV because I really can’t think of anyone more perfect for this! I would really also consider David Hodges and Ben Moody (Ex Ev) you won’t be sorry 🙂

1.) Fallen by Imagine Dragons
This song makes me think of all the angels (everyone from Daniel to Molly) and I just always get this picture of them all standing together to face the end especially with lyrics like “Tell everybody, tell everybody brothers, sisters, the ending is coming” and “We are fallen, we are fallen now we’re just gonna ride it out”
2.) Who are you really by Mikky Ekko
I really like this song and when I hear it I think of Luce and how she feels such a strong connection with Daniel, almost like she has met him before but can’t put her finger on it there fore asking herself “Who are you really?” (A scene form the book that comes to mind is the one where Luce and Daniel are in the cemetery and he saves her from the falling angel.)
3.) Breakdown by Black Gold
I chose this song because it makes me think of when Luce finds out what Daniel is and learns of their tragic story and is just so overwhelmed with these confusing thoughts.
4.) Tighten up by The Black Keys
I picked this song mainly for Cam (How can anyone forget him!?! Its impossible) because I felt this song fit what I thought Cam might have been feeling. I always had a strong sense that their was more with Luce and Cam that you just had to read between the lines (I don’t know maybe I imagined it??)
5.) Enjoy the silence by Aneberlin
I don’t really have a reason I chose this song other then I always thought of Cam when I hear it especially with lyrics like “Words like violence break the silence come crashing in, into my little world painful to me pierce right through me can’t you understand, oh my little girl?” and “Words are very unnecessary they can only do harm vows are spoken to be broken feelings are intense, words are trivial”(Mostly I thought this song fit Cam’s more demonic side)
7.) Problems down the line by Jose Gonzalez
When ever I hear this song and the lyrics “I see darkness down the line, I know its hard to fight” and “Don’t let the darkness eat you up” I think of how Luce and Daniel have only just begun their epic journey and that are going to be problems and darkness and it will be hard to fight but their love will always shine through regardless.
8.) Iris by the Goo Goo Dolls
I picked the song mainly for Daniel just because I believe it really fits him because he just wants Luce to see him and know who he is and be able to love him freely.
9.) When we fall in by Sean Hayes
I don’t have much to say other then this song reminds me of new love and that this particular long fall is worth it. (Lyrics like “the falling that is ours to enjoy” obviously really stands out to me)

I don’t really have a reason why I picked this song other then I just really felt it needed to be on here.

It took me by surprise by Maria Mena, Lithium and my immortal by evanescence, and vanilla twilight by owl city. I love these songs and they really remind me of Daniel and Luce and have some emotional meaning. I hope you like them and cant wait to see the movie :).
